What  to  expect

First of all, expect to encounter Jesus in a real and personal way when you worship with us. Our desire is to see each person connect with the Lord in faith, so we do our best to leave out obstacles that would make your worship experience difficult or confusing. On any given week, you will find a group of families and individuals coming together who are genuinely enthusiastic about our worship gatherings. We hope you will feel at home with us, too. Below are brief answers to some of the more common questions we hear about our Sunday morning experience. If we missed a question that is important to you, please give us a call or shoot us an email. We'll do our best to answer your questions before you arrive.

What should I wear? The simple guiding rule is dress comfortably. We are more concerned with seeing you grow in faith than we are with how you dress. You will see our regulars dressed in everything from t-shirts and blue jeans all the way up to jackets and ties. If Sunday best is your preferred style, go for it. If you're racing back from the lake to join us for worship, we won't frown at your flip flops and bermuda shorts.

What is the music like? Our music is contemporary and generally very upbeat. We love to create a joyful worship environment where you can sing freely with songs that honor Jesus Christ and remind us of the love and the life we find in Him. Many of the songs we choose can be heard on Christian radio stations around the country. Our praise team has several talented and dedicated musicians who love to lead us together in worship through singing each Sunday.

What happens during a worship service? Our service style is casual, but we are serious about our desire to connect with the Lord. Each week our worship includes a message from the Bible, contemporary music, personal and group prayer times, and an opportunity to respond to the Lord through tithes and offerings. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord's Supper together as a way of highlighting our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus.   Is childcare available? Yes. We have a great team of qualified nursery volunteers to care for your littlest ones, infants through 3 years, while you join us in the sanctuary. When you walk in the front door, one of our friendly greeters will be ready to help you find your way to our Nursery.

What will my school-aged children be doing? KidsJourney is our worship experience for children ages 4 through the 5th grade. These children will begin the worship hour with the adults in the sanctuary, then dismiss for kid-friendly Bible teaching time after the music. Youth Bible Study is happening during second service for students in 6th - 12th grades. This group meets in our Church House located next door to the main building.

Will I be singled out? No. We are excited to have guests worship with us, and we don't want you to feel embarassed or out of place. Our members are friendly, so you can expect to be greeted warmly. But we won't call you out in front of the group. We do ask that you would fill out one of our Comment Cards to let us know who you are and how we can help you along in your journey toward knowing Christ.
