Grow  in  Christ

Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.  Colossians 2:6-7

Our mission at Lansing First Southern Baptist church is to tell others about the Savior, Jesus Christ, and then the help believers grow to be more like Him.  Scroll down to see  our different discipleship programs by age.

Nursery

We believe children are gifts from God and we take their care very seriously.

All of our volunteers that work with children have been screened and trained, so you can worship peacefully knowing that your children are well cared for.

We offer child care for worship service and the life group that meets on Wednesday nights.

If you would like for information about our Nursery or if you would like to volunteer, please contact Pam or Mark Heriford at Iris.pamela22@gmail.com

KidsJourney

Children ages 4 years to fifth grade meet for KidsJourney in the Fellowship Hall during each worship service.

Children pick up their name tags at the beginning of the service and begin worship time with their families.  After the praise and worship portion of service, they are dismissed and guided to KidsJourney.

KidsJourney is currently studying the Bible chronologically using the Gospel Project curriculum.

Parents pick up their children after the service in the lower level of the church.

If you would like more information about KidsJourney or would like to volunteer, please contact Dave or Shelley Goscha at djgoscha@aol.com

Youth

Students from 6th - 12th grade meet for Sunday School at 9:30 am and also  Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:30 pm.

If you would like more information about youth and their activities, please contact Beth Sutton at elsinore68@gmail.com

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Life Groups

Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another.

Hebrews 10:24-25

We love each other.  We love God and we share our lives together. It's as simple as that.

A Life group is typically a smaller gathering of people who come together to share in fellowship, God's Word and to support and strengthen one another.

Life Groups meet weekly to encourage and support us in our faith and in our daily lives.  You will study the Bible and motivate one another to live out what we read.
